There are indications that the current BCCI secretary, Devajit Saikia, will retain his position while Rajeev Shukla continues in his role as vice-president. He also boasts a successful IPL career, playing for Delhi Daredevils, Pune Warriors India, and Chennai Super Kings, accumulating 514 runs in 55 matches with a strike rate of 109.36.

Saikia mentioned to reporters at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai that the selection meeting for the Test team will take place online on September 23 or 24.
