Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar recently made headlines by naming his all-time Indian Premier League (IPL) XI following his team’s victory in the 2026 final against Gujarat Titans (GT). Despite the remarkable achievements of players like Rohit Sharma, Patidar surprised many by omitting the former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain from his dream team.

A Winning Captain’s Choices

Rajat Patidar, who led RCB to their second IPL title in as many years, solidified his position as one of the league’s most successful captains. Hardik Pandya was given the responsibility of the No. 6 position, while veteran wicketkeeper MS Dhoni rounded out the batting order at No. 7. The bowling attack comprised of Dale Steyn and Jasprit Bumrah as the frontline pacers, with Yuzvendra Chahal and Sunil Narine providing spin options to complete the XI.
