**Ravindra Jadeja Opens Up About Early Struggles in Indian Cricket Team**

**Ravindra Jadeja**, the seasoned Indian all-rounder, recently shared some insights into the challenges he faced at the beginning of his career with the **Indian National Cricket Team**. The cricketer revealed that one of the toughest parts of his early days was being continuously pushed down the batting order, which affected his confidence and made him question whether the team truly trusted his batting abilities.

**Early Career Challenges**

Jadeja disclosed that he used to bat at number 4 at the start of his career, showcasing his potential with an impressive average of over 60 in the **Ranji Trophy** matches. Despite his strong performances in domestic cricket, he often found himself batting at lower positions when representing the national team, which took a toll on his morale.

In a candid conversation with **Sanjay Manjrekar** on the **Sony Sports Network**, Jadeja expressed his struggle, stating, “Sometimes the situation is such that I have batted at numbers 8 and 9 as well. So, when you are sitting in the dressing room with your pads on, next to you, a fast bowler is selecting a ball. Seeing all those things, my morale and confidence would go down.”

The all-rounder admitted that continuously being placed behind bowlers in the batting order made him doubt his own abilities and affected his confidence during the initial phase of his career. He recalled feeling disheartened by the lack of opportunities to showcase his skills and contribute with the bat.

**Overcoming Challenges**

Despite the setbacks, Jadeja gradually built confidence and patience, attributes essential for playing long Test innings.
